PI designs and delivers EEDA’s strategy-led Core Competency Framework

Posted: 01 Jan 2006

PI Consulting and MSA Interactive combine forces to design and deliver EEDA’s Core Competency framework and development programme.

Collaboration is a founding principle of the Cambridge Phenomenon and it will come as no surprise therefore that two of the region’s up and coming consulting and delivery organisations have combined forces to create an end-to-end core competency development framework and delivery programme for the East of England Development Agency (EEDA).

PI Consulting’s strategy-based 360 degree competency assessment framework combined with the MSA Interactive on-line deployment technology and support service have enabled the two firms to design, develop and deliver a fully joined-up process for the assessment of competencies across EEDA.

Vincent Bryant, Managing Director of PI Consulting, has worked with many organisations to design and accelerate their growth and performance improvement programmes. He said: ‘Our experience shows that overall and bottom line performance is the collective responsibility of everyone in any organisation. A strategy-led competency framework and development programme therefore enables everyone to understand what is important and allows training and development resources to be targeted in the most effective way.’

Vandy Massey, of MSA Interactive, has worked with a large number of clients to develop and deploy their core competency frameworks and has developed robust and secure on-line systems and support services to enable a smooth and effective deployment in both local and global settings as determined by the needs of the particular client. Vandy believes strongly in making the process as simple as possible so that management and employees are able to focus on the quality of their response without the need to worry about the technology or process.

Rachel Bosworth, Director of Communications at EEDA, added: ‘The development of a competency framework is an important and essential element of our leadership and organisation development programme.’
